Comics Compulsion presents its annual gaming event held at the Christchurch Cavaliers Wargames Section, St Albans/ Shirley Club, 269 Hills Road, Labour Day Weekend on the 23rd & 24th Oct 2010
Participate in one of the competition events (Registration Fee: $25.00) or put on a display game yourself. (Contact us if you wish to put on a game)

I'd like to request that the powers that be consider 2000 pts for the 40k - there hasn't been a 2k pts tournament anywhere for several years now.
It's great for the hobbyist as it allows a lot more in the way of theme and flavour than 1500. |

its 2k for WFB,but thats all i know.John may have some hard Caps like no lords (same as every Conquest) but thats just a guess on my part.

It will be 2000pts, we advertised Conquest for this year way before the new rules cam out for Fantasy.
Any other stuff John will clarify later

If it means you and Al maintain your unbroken run of Conquest attendance than I am sure we can sort something out. I think this is Conquest's 8th year.

Hello, this looks like a cool event! I think this might have been the thing I went to the year before last (or was it the year before that?)...
I was wondering, how far out can we expect to get the rest of the restrictions/rules for the fantasy tournament? I'm interested in coming but these types of things would be a significant factor for me (mainly, if I have the right models and how many more I'd have to have ready by then if not).

Just going on previous events it was open slather with no build restrictions and also the tourney allowed special characters (Grrrr.... ) Both reasons turned Conquest into a powergaming event where only cheesed lists could win, which is why I stopped going. Now under 8th edition a lot of the broken list builds don't work any more so it should be a much different story.
Just put together a good balanced take all-comers 2000pt list, and you'll be good to go.  |
